30th November:

Lewis: 11 Snow Buntings were at South Galson.

Benbecula: The female Ring-necked Duck was on Coot Loch.

 

29th November:

Harris: A drake Velvet Scoter was in the Sound of Taransay.

North Uist: 5 Long-tailed Tits are in Carinish. 5 Fieldfare were at Hosta. A female Pintail was on Loch nam Feithean.

Benbecula: A Little Egret was at Coot Loch and another was at Loch Mor.

Barra: The juvenile / female Surf Scoter was off Eoligarry.

 

28th November:

Benbecula: A female Ring-necked Duck was on Coot Loch.

 

27th November:

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup is still on Loch Dobhrai.

Barra: An adult Mediterranean Gull was at Traigh Mhor today.

 

26th November:

Barra: A Siberian Chiffchaff was in Castlebay.

 

25th November:

Lewis: 6 Snow Buntings were in South Galson.

North Uist: 5 Long-tailed Tits were in Carinish.

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup and 1st w male Scaup were on Loch Dobhrain. A Green-winged Teal, 28 Black-tailed Godwits and a Little Egret were at Ardvule.

Barra: The female / juvenile Surf Scoter was off Ardmhor; also 6 Long-tailed Tits were nearby.

 

24th November:

North Uist: A drake Ring-necked Duck was on Loch Bhrusda, Berneray.

 

23rd November:

Lewis: 3 Snow Buntings and a Jackdaw were at South Galson. A Tundra Bean Goose was seen at Sandwick, Stornoway this morning.

North Uist: 4 Long-tailed Tits and a Chiffchaff were in Carinish.

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup was on Loch Dobhrain.

Barra: A Franklin's Gull was at Caolas, Vatersay.

22nd November:

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup was on Loch Dobhrain. A 1st yr male Scaup was on Loch Bee. A drake Surf Scoter was off Balgarva.

Barra: The female / juvenile Surf Scoter was off Ardmhor.

21st November:

Lewis: 14 Snow Buntings were in Garenin.

 

20th November:

Lewis: 30 Snow Buntings were at Vatisker.

North Uist: 4 Long-tailed Tits were in Grenitote. A Brambling was in Carinish.

19th November:

North Uist: A Brambling and 6 Long-tailed Tits are still in Carinish.

 

18th November:

North Uist: A Brambling, Chiffchaff and 6 Long-tailed Tits were still in Carinish today.

Barra: The Green-winged Teal was at Ardmhor. 2 Grey Phalaropes were reported flying north off Brevig this afternnon.

 

17th November:

North Uist: 6 Long-tailed Tits and a Brambling were in Carinish today. A probable American Barn Swallow was at Balranald late afternoon.

16th November:

Lewis: The Lapland Bunting was on the machair near Loch Stiapabhat still today. A Firecrest was at Valasay, Great Bernera today.

South Uist: 3 Woodcock were in South Glendale. A Barn Owl was at Milton this evening.

15th November:

Lewis: 15 Snow Buntings were on the moor at Habost. A Lapland Bunting was on the machair near Loch Stiapabhat.

North Uist: A Swallow was reported south of Grimsay.

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup was back on Loch Dhobrain.

Barra: The Surf Scoter was to the south-east of Eoligarry jetty again today. The Firecrest was at Nask and a Siberian Chiffchaff was in Castlebay.

 

14th November:

Barra: The Surf Scoter was to the south-east of Eoligarry jetty again today.

 

13th November:

Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Eoligarry jetty again today.

 

12th November:

South Uist: The drake Lesser Scaup was at Loch Roag today.

 

11th November:

Lewis: The Ring-necked Duck was at Loch Tiumpan. 6 or 7 Long-tailed Tits were at North Tolsta and a Snow Bunting was also on crofts there.

St. Kilda: A 1st winter Ring-necked Duck was on Hirta.

South Uist: A drake Lesser Scaup was at Loch Dpbhrain, Snishival. A Snow Bunting was on Howmore beach.

Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Eoligarry jetty again today. A Green-winged Teal was Ardmhor. A Siberian Chiffchaff was at Castlebay.

 

10th November:

Barra: The Firecrest was at Nask. A Surf Scoter was off Eoligarry jetty.

 

9th November:

Barra: 2 Siberian Chiffchaffs were at Castlebay and the Firecrest was at Nask.

 

8th November:

South Uist: A 2nd winter Glaucous Gull was at Kildonan. 2 Bramblings were in South Glendale.

Barra: A Firecrest was at Nask.

 

7th November:

Lewis: The Ring-necked Duck was at Loch Tiumpan.

South Uist: A Glossy Ibis was at West Loch Ollay. 3 Jackdaws were on Bornish machair.

 

6th November:

Lewis: The Glossy Ibis was still at Loch Stiapabhat. A Northern Bullfinch was briefly at Port of Ness.

 

5th November:

Lewis: The Glossy Ibis was still at Loch Stiapabhat.

South Uist: A Waxwing was seen at Carnan first thing this morning but not since.

 

4th November:

Lewis: The drake Ring-necked Duck was on Loch Tiumpan. The Glossy Ibis was still at Loch Stiapabhat.

Mammals: A small bat sp. was seen flying around a garden in Bornish this evening.

 

3rd November:

Barra: A Siberian Chiffchaff was in Castlebay. A Hoopoe was on Vatersay.

 

2nd November:

Lewis: The drake Ring-necked Duck is on Loch Tiumpan.

Barra: A juvenile or female Bufflehead was on Lochan na Cartach, just south of Loch an Duin late morning but flew west early afternoon.

 

1st November:

Lewis: 17 Sooty Shearwaters were seen off Port of Ness this morning.

North Uist: A Treecreeper and Long-tailed Tit were in Lochmaddy.

South Uist: A juvenile American Golden Plover was on Bornish machair this morning; also 3 Jackdaws there.

Barra: The drake Green-winged Teal was at Ardmhor ferry terminal. A Siberian Chiffchaff was on Castlebay.
